Let's discuss some fundamental facts about buying a second-hand home. No, not the boring legal conditions and possible pitfalls. Those we talk about at another place. Here we think exclusively about the "soul", the house itself.

Nearly all in Hungary offered houses do not correspond necessarily to the Western standard. In our program are for example al lot of old farmhouses.

For this architectural style the open veranda is typical, over which by several entrances the house can be entered. Many of these houses have no bathroom, but this can be added with little afford only. The insulation is outstanding, because these houses are built from loam bricks with an average wall thickness of 2 ft (!). So in winter the warmth remains inside and because of the small and cosy windows it stays outside in summer. Thus it works like a "natural" air conditioning system. These houses are heated normally by furnaces, which are fired with the here plentifully existing and fast regenerating acacia wood. Ideal are the houses, in which a tiled stove is already installed. Such a tiled stove develop a very healthy heat, which can heat an entire house - apart from the very cosy atmosphere of a tiled stove
